SALLY KRUEGER
Sally Krueger who purchased last year at the Reserves at Madison Park Project. She gave a testimonial at own your dream. Sally is a moderate income single mother and first time homebuyer who wanted to move her daughter to a nicer neighborhood with better schools. Through a partnership with First Horizon Home Loans and developers in the City of Murrieta, California, the Riverside County First Time Buyer Program, and NHSIE’s CalHome program, Ms. Krueger was able to purchase a beautiful brand new construction, 2-bedroom condominium for herself and her daughter. Riverside County Economic Development Agency provided $40,000 in down payment assistance while NHSIE provided $50,000 in down payment assistance, allowing Sally to purchase a $232,000 luxury condominium for $142,000. She stated:
"As a single mom, I never thought that I would be able to buy a home on my own and knowing what typical home prices are in this area much less that I would be able to buy in Murrieta. Many people like me think that homeownership is out of their reach but anything is possible when you set your mind to it and there are organizations like NHSIE that work so hard to make these impossible dreams come true!"

CARLOS PADILLA
Carlos came into our HomeOwnership Center 1 ½ years ago seeking assistance on becoming a first time homebuyer. As a single dad he wanted more stability and a home for his beautiful daughter Kayla but he wasn’t sure if homeownership was within his reach. We educated him on the home buying process and worked with him to repair his credit and prepare financially for the transition from renter to homeowner. Thanks to his hard work and a collaborative effort between NHSIE, American Home Mortgage, and the San Bernardino City MAP, he finally closed escrow on a $292,000 home in San Bernardino. He is very grateful to NHSIE and stated:
